The condolences of the entire Thurles Sarsfields club are with the Callanan family and Thomas’ wide circle of friends at this time on the passing of Thomas Callanan. Thomas was a former player and committee member aswell as a life long supporter of Thurles Sarsfields. Thurles Sarsfields will perform a guard of honour from Hugh Ryan’s to the Catherdal this evening. Please meet outside Hugh Ryan’s at 7:30pm from where we will escort Thomas’ remains to the Cathedral. County Hurling League: Our senior team defeated Kilruane MacDonaghs last Friday in the first round of the County Hurling League Division 1 Group 1 on a scoreline of 3-24 to 1-17.
